Revive this revival

Revive this revival. America is need of a renewed and restored Love. We are so wrapped up in us we don't have time for The ONE. How do we get this. We start with a passion for Christ, a renewal and refreshment of our faith. One of the events that has affected the modern day Church was the Azusa Street Revival in 1906-1909. How could just a couple people having a little bible study could do so much. Over 1 million churches have been started due to that little bible study. Let me say that one more time. over 1 million churches have been started due to that little bible study. 1,000,000 Churches. OK take a deep breath, 600,000,000 people. 600 million people have been affected by this revival. Just think a couple of people decided to take God's testimony and study it out. Azusa street has impacted the world. It has been almost 100 years since we had a real revival. We have a week here and a week there. But were is the revival gone. Is it "Gone with the Wind".

The message Bible says "No prolonged infancies among us, please. We'll not tolerate babes in the woods, small children who are an easy mark for impostors. God wants us to grow up, to know the whole truth and tell it in love—like Christ in everything. We take our lead from Christ, who is the source of everything we do. He keeps us in step with each other. His very breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love. " Ephesians 4:14-16

We are to grow up healthy in God. but, we can't even make a spark. We as a Church need to have a Azusa style flame. The only way to start a fire is to have a spark. We take that spark and we feed it to it grows to a little flame. We protect that flame from the wind of the world. We keep building up that flame to we have a bond fire. As the fire grows people will come to see what is going on. People are drawn to fire. If they see the fire in you, they will see the revival.

As the Church proclaiming God's message, we need to live his message. There is two fires we can have a consuming(to absorb; engross) fire or a consumed(to undergo destruction; waste away) fire. Which one is you?

What a testimony!

Have you ever been at Church or work and you just heard a testimony that would make you cry?
Let me tell you, I have heard testimonies on T.V. or in movies that has kept Puffs(tissue) in business. We will hear a story about someone's life and take it for face value. The tears of joy, sorrow, they come pouring. We believe every word they say. We go as far as telling someone the next day what we heard. Why? Was it that powerful? Did it impact your life that much? Was it strong enough to move mountains? We will hear a man's or woman's testimony, and listen. But what about God's testimony? Have you took it at face value?

In 1 John 5:6-11(The Message)
Jesus—the Divine Christ! He experienced a life-giving birth and a death-killing death. Not only birth from the womb, but baptismal birth of his ministry and sacrificial death. And all the while the Spirit is confirming the truth, the reality of God's presence at Jesus' baptism and crucifixion, bringing those occasions alive for us. A triple testimony: the Spirit, the Baptism, the Crucifixion. And the three in perfect agreement.

If we take human testimony at face value, how much more should we be reassured when God gives testimony as he does here, testifying concerning his Son. Whoever believes in the Son of God inwardly confirms God's testimony. Whoever refuses to believe in effect calls God a liar, refusing to believe God's own testimony regarding his Son.

This is the testimony in essence: God gave us eternal life; the life is in his Son. So, whoever has the Son, has life; whoever rejects the Son, rejects life.

Look how this starts: Jesus—the Divine Christ!

The testimony starts out Jesus-the all-powerful, almighty, ambrosial, anointed, angelic, beautiful, blissful, celestial, glorious, eternal, exalted, consecrated, deistic, excellent, holy, spiritual, godly, hallowed, heavenly, magnificent, immaculate, mystical, perfect, unearthly, sanctified, splendid, superhuman, supernatural Christ! just to name a few.

This testimony has been told for 2000 years all around the world, in every tongue of every nation, but we don't take it at face value. We will listen to bro. somebody or sis. somebody else
but what about the testimony God has giving us. It's not like so many, I did this wrong or this and now I am free of that. God's testimony is how you got free from that. The Spirit, the Baptism, and the Crucifixion. that is the testimony. This should be your testimony.

We should take up our cross and follow him. We should tell God's testimony. "Whoever believes in the Son of God inwardly confirms God's testimony. Whoever refuses to believe in effect calls God a liar, refusing to believe God's own testimony regarding his Son." Don't you think that is a little more powerful then when I quit that? Human testimony is a good way to share the Word, but maybe we should finish our testimony with God's testimony. Because without it, we would not have one.

I close with the end of the scripture: "This is the testimony in essence: God gave us eternal life; the life is in his Son. So, whoever has the Son, has life; whoever rejects the Son, rejects life."
I think that is a good way sum up this.

Going Home

I just got to thinking about the bridge in Minnesota that fell during rush hour 2 weeks ago. What if one of us would have been there, or been one of the victims. Life can come so fast at us. Remember there is no tomorrow. Stop for a minute, reflect on your life.

Where are you? I'm not talking about, at home or work. I'm talking about life, Eternal life. My hearts go out to the family's that lost loved ones. What if? is a strong thought, but what if you would have been there? If you were driving home today or later and the world come to a end. People every second of the day deal with this question. Where will we go from here? There is only two places you can go from this earth. To Heaven or Hades(Hell). Stop and ponder this.

My life was a wreck before a became friends with my Savior. As I tell people" I lived one HELL of a life" but that life is dead. I have a new life, a life of happiness. I don't seek the world, I seek the Kingdom. We all have a chance to have a great life, life. For so many, when the gate is closed, it will be to late. So if you was to die NOW, where would you go? Just because when you was 12 you prayed the prayer. That doesn't mean you're in. Jesus says" Keep my commandments." Let me ask you another question, If Jesus was standing beside you right now, Would you acted different? Would you not take that drink, or have sex with that other person besides your spouse? Would you take that item from work? Would you? Would you? Would you? Let me tell you, Jesus is beside you. Everything you do, he is beside you.

Let me talk to those who don't no where. 1st Cry out to Jesus, ask for forgiveness and salvation of your sins, 2nd Go to Church, if you don't have one, find one. Talk to the Pastor about ways to change your lifestyle. They can help you go through a eternal life change. 3rd Talk to God and read his word.

Jesus died for you so you could live, but you can only live if "Keep his commandments."

So what if you were on that bridge? Would you go Home?
